Oil leak on gas side of my MD definitely coming from valve cover. I have tried to seal it with #2A permatex, tightening, etc. to no avail. I'm taking it apart today and starting over with a new gasket. Will also check trueness of valve cover. The replacement gaskets are not cork, they're sort of a fiber (I guess) so I'm wondering if any sealant should be used, and if so, what kind? I like the 2A permatex, but it just seemed to liquify when the engine got warm. Any advice appreciated.
