I was told to be careful of the felt seal in the waterpump housing of an H. Was cleaning things up today and messed it up a bit. I messed the ridge that presses against the generator pulley. I haven't talked to my parts man yet - but I'm guessing the thing can't be replaced. What do you all think? Does much fluid actually flow back down around the sleeve? Or does this 'seal' simply cushion the generator pulley a bit and prevent wear in that way? Or does it seal the entire front face of the housing - if so, hopefully this little ridge won't influence its ability to hold fluid back. By the way ... if The Man should read this - thanks for walking me through the waterpump deconstruction. Dave
