Hi, as posted previously, I'm working on the dash wiring on a 2606 along with hooking the headlights back up and other things. I just replaced the ammeter yesterday that didn't work. Found the oil pressure guage tubing had been cut off under the dash. Brings up some questions for the 12v negative ground system:
1. The voltage regulator has 4 wires coming off it. 3 from the middle and one on the end that may be a ground. Coming from that group of wiring across the front of the engine is also a wire from the coil. In viewing the wire bundle where the alternator wire joins in, the 3 wires from the middle of the VR are cut. I'm not sure the VR is even being used. It also appears this was a replacement 263 gas engine in it. Wondering what gives with the VR.
2. I'm adding a dash mount round type fuse and a cigarette lighter receptacle in the dash. I want the lighter hot without the key on but also fused. The fuse will also handle the headlights but I think the headlights should be hot only with the key on. Any thoughts on where I should wire the fuse holder and receptacle to?
3. Found the oil pressure guage had the plastic tubing cut off. I can't find a place on the engine to hook up some new 1/8" copper to. There is a plug on the filter housing is about all I've found. Found a tee where the temperature guage hooks in between the exhaust manifold and the block but that is probably water. Any ideas?
4. Found the fuel guage that never worked has a wire going up to the top of the tank but hidden under the top cover. I didn't know the tank had a sender in it. I don't see how to get the cover off and probably don't need the guage that bad but thought I'd ask what anyone thinks of fixing one? I may remove the guage and put a voltmeter in it or fix it.
5. Dash panel has a 5/8" hole for a light bulb terminal. Cover and bulb are gone. Just wondering if anyone knows of some type of tag light, red light, or similar led setup to illuminate the dash?
6. There is a big hole where the tach/hour meter used to be. Not going to mess with it now but may someday use one of those little electronic black tach/hour meter with wire wraps around a plug wire. Just thought I'd ask about options here unless I found a cheap replacement to fit in.

Today's Featured Article - The Cletrac General GG and the BF Avery A - A Bit of History - by Mike Ballash. This article is a summary of what I have gathered up from various sources on the Gletrac General GG and the B. F. Avery model A tractors. I am quite sure that most of it is accurate. The General GG was made by the Cleveland Tractor Company (Cletrac) of Cleveland, Ohio. Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac.
