i just remounted the 42" mower to my cub, i took it off so i could use the cub to push snow this winter [ have the factory snow/grader blade], how nice, not to have to turn my head around to watch a rear blade!anyway, late last year was the first time the cub ever had a mower on it, and i had some noise from a bearing in the transmission when i installed the belt pulleyand tightened the drive belt for the mower, this year its more noisy, using the old ear and screwdriver trick, it seems to be the bearing between the tranny and differential, [may be wrong] can i split the tractor at the differential and roll or carry the whole rear end assembly to the rear to get at it? or do i have to completly dissassemble the rear end assembly, [ final drives, tubes, ect] also can i split in front of the tranny between the touque tube and tranny, or do i have to split at the bellhousing? i know there is a bearing in the front too, i plan to run this cub hard this summer and im trying to avoid bearing failure during the summer, thanks
