The predominant results that came up were for carburetor repair kits (which I do no need). And unfortunetly when I searched this site, I was under the wrong section (under Farmall 300 parts and not carburetor). And would it occur to you I was seeking advice on what people recommended the most? Obviously there is a big price difference between the carb on this site and the one on Bates. Maybe one is better? But anyways, thank you for patrolling these forums and the sarcasm. If you didnt like my post you didnt have to respond. I knew there is a reason I dont post on here.
Kevin, I'm pretty sure there is no such thing as a "new" carburetor for a Farmall 300, and if there was, the price would be closer to $600. That $300 price someone mentioned would be for a professionally rebuilt original carburetor, and even THAT price is a bit on the high side. A Farmall M carburetor will work, but will not be 100% correct.

What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
