I am plumbing a new idea loader on a 1953 super M. I thought the loader arm pistons were single acting-gravity return since there were not ports on both ends of the cylinders. I found this picture on the web which is exactly the same loader and pistons. I am seeing 2 hoses plumbed to the 2 ports near the piston clevis. originally I was thinking one port was hydraulic and the second port was a vent but I"m not understanding how this is plumbed correctly. Is anyone familiar with this type of piston and how should I plumb it? Now, if it is a single acting piston, how do I plumb it through my gresen valves? I have open center 2 way valves to run the bucket (2 way cyl.) the loader (1 way cyl. maybe) and 3pt (2 way cyl.) Is it OK to deadhead the hydraulics through the valve to operate the 1 way loader cylinder return or do I need to run a circuit? Sorry if the description isn"t very clear, I"ve never set up tractor hydraulics before. Here is a link to the picture and I"ll also try to attach it to this post.
