Well, I must be having brain cramps. spent a good portion of the day trying to get the H lined up correctly with the REgular to spin her over. Couldn't get the belt to stay on under load, no way, no how. I was by myself, so that didn't help matters on the "line up" either. As long as I didn't have her in gear, the belt ran fine. As soon as I would feather the clutch out with the belt pulley engaged, she'd run off to the side and off the pulley's.
So........................
I pulled a set of 13.6 x 28 tires out of my tire pile. Wire brushed a set of F&H round spokes I have, mounted the tires and put rubber on the old girl for now. Next sunny day, the F150 is going to pull her around a few laps in the large parking lot of the trucking company next to me.
She still is ocasionally poppin' here and there, but just seems she wants to be turnin' a bit faster to run. I may put a F4 mag on her that I know is good. I got good spark on the bench out of the E4A, but who knows. I'll "borrow" an F4 mag off one of my running tractors to see if that makes a difference.
