We cant help much with an external regulator Alt. Diagrame are much more complex and need Car specific diagrams and the ability to carve out the pieces necessary to make it work. Hot rodders might have info on the methodology. The wire from the Alt big terminal to the amp gauge must be 10ga. The wire from the amp gauge to the Starter switch/Relay/solenoid, can be 10 gauge with a Fuse link in it of 5 amps more than the alt output. The wires from the regulator to the alt can be 12ga (conservative but not under rated) The remaining wires can be 14 gauge, but I like 12 gauge to make voltage get to where it is needed. Jim
