I've got an early H that had the foot peg starter, when my steering post broke I replaced it with one from a later H with the bracket for the starter button mounted on the opposite side of the post from the light switch box. I'll need to get longer battery cables which kinda sucks because the previous owner had just put on new thick guage cables. My question is where do the longer cables run, do they run through the hole in the rear gas tank mount where the starter button used to reside, or do they just run along the left side of the rear gas tank mount? I haven't been able to tell from the Farmall pictures I've been collecting.
