Started chisel plowing last night with our new 966. Used a 7 shank Kewanee chisel.Only 1/3 of the field was dry enough, but it is only March in central Illinois.This was the first hard pull on the 966, and it worked great. Found out quickly that one wrong move on the hydralic lever and the plow would draw 36 inches into the ground to the frame in about 1/2 a second. 10 inches in the ground seemed to be the happy spot for the plow and tractor. I cant wait til the rest of the field dries. 79 degrees today in March???? Unheard of On a hard pull what RPM should you set the throttle at for optimal HP and feul economy Diesel isnt cheap
