I have an early H, I purchased a starter button mounting bracket and moved the starter button from the lower rear gas tank mount to the higher steering post position. My choke rod never seemed to slide very well like it is binding somewhere. My choke rod is located on the left hand side and attaches to the rear gas tank mount. Now the with the new starter button position, the battery cables are right up against the choke rod which doesn't help. I found a picture, showing the choke rod not attached to the gas tank mount like mine, but attached on the right on what I'll call a steering post plate. Is this the setup for a later H? Is it the same choke rod moved, or would I need to find a new rod?
