Rear axle gasket

I am going to replace the large axle gasket on my M, to get the axle out I will have to take the rear frame cover (deck) to get to the pin holding the axle to the bullgear (does this sound right).
Any tips on what to look or lookout for and where on Earth can I find the gaskets for the axle and frame cover?
