Got back to tinkering with the H today as it has cooled up some after the rain. Took out the shift lever and rebuilt it as it was worn to almost a point. Thought that might help the popping out of high gear, no such luck. It did make shifting a lot more crisp with no slop.
Hate to pull the top off the transmission but guess there is no other way to fix the problem.Just how big a job am I getting in to other than that heavy cast iron slab on top? Is that a common H problem? Thanks Joe
