Ah did you remove the valve from the TOP or Bottom ????? If you took it out the top you still have no idea if the tiny little pin is broke. The valve comes out the bottom . and if you have a two piece valve in your hand the pin is broken. If this is not the case then it is time to remove the four bolts holding the input housing to the main part of the PTO and remove the snap ring that hold the clutch pac together . Then start to remove the disc's and plates and lay them out as they come out so you have and idea as to how to put them back in. This is as far as you can go with out a way of compressing the heavy spring to go deeper into the unit . The next thing that maybe wrong is that ya had a bearing failure and allowed the hub and drum to wallow out the housing and cause a massive pressure drop where the two Teflon seals ride. and here again you will need to have a spring compressor to remove the heavy return spring to get the hub and drum out .Oh and that spring is LONG.
