This tractor was givin to me by a friend. When I got it it would't charge the battery. It was hooked to a 12 volt battery, negative ground. I had the altenator rebuilt but when I tried to start it it just started clicking and the wires on the starter started smoking so I unhooked the battery. Can someone possibly help me? I seen in a book that this is a 12 volt positive ground system, how can I figure out if it is?
