My book calls for universal hyd. oil in everything, but the engine. You will find hyd. oil cost less then gear oil. I would take it back. Go to your bulk oil disturbter and get a name brand of hyd. oil. Even big tractor any more use hydraulic fluid where the hydraulic system, transmission, differential and wet brakes are all together. That 90W gear oil is to heavy. Would take all the horses the engine has just to move it in the winter.
