It will sit and diesel for 10-15 seconds at least, but I've been putting it in 5th gear and locking the breaks to kill the engine. The engine cranks over fine and very smoothly. When I go to start it, I usually choke it the first time, it will try to start, then cough and sputter and die. I usually try to start it 2-3 more times, it coughs and sputters each time, but usually by the 3rd or 4th try, it will start to keep going and even itself out in 5 seconds or so and run smoothly. There is no fuel running out of the carb or in the air inlet when I leave the gas turned on, it was previously doing this, but the adjustment of the float stopped it. The temperature is not running hot at all, in fact I'm having a hard time trying to keep it into the RUN on the gauge. I can let it sit and run at a speed and it will start to climb into the RUN, but when i speed up or slow down or start to drive it, it will fall back into the COLD then gradually start back into the RUN. Yes, all plugs seem to have the same amount of soot build up on them. Thanks!
