Ford made a good tractor, but their prices have been bumped up by the yuppie factor buying them to use for lawn mowers on small acreage. Farmall's and other brands seem to be less popular for that purpose, although in most of our opinions, they are actually a better more powerful tractor than the N series fords. The only disadvantage a lot of the other brands have is lack of a factory 3 point hitch which the Ford / Fergusons made standard. As far as $1500 for an H, it depends where you are. I have seen some nice H's sell for between $1200 & $2000.
