I've been rebuilding a Farmall B.
The TISCO kit has two compression rings per cylinder, the lower one with a bevel on the inside edge. Each ring is marked with an "R", with the bevelled edge on the same side as the mark. There do not appear to be any pips or dots.
Sales rep from Yesterday's Tractors told me "dot mark up, bevel down" which doesn't make a lot of sense to me since the only mark is an "R" and is on the same side as the bevel. Tractor Part Mart wrote me "The bevel on these need to face down." So I guess I'm installing bevel side down, despite some of the advice on this forum. Unless someone wants to tell me the sales reps are wrong?
