The resistor is large . You will want a resistor or another type coil . Napa should have either . Wire the resistor between power wire and coil . You can take a resistor off an old car too . So the rotor took a beating , how old was it ? Good luck your on your way to a good thing The resistor is called a ballast resistor , Gm mounted them on the firewall near the wiper motor . About 3/4" X 3/4" X 3" long white thing . Old car sources like ol 55 or danchuck mfg and others will have new ones . Or junk yard with old cars . This is 30 year old suff or older .
