LOL, participated in the antique tractor pull at Saegertown Pioneer Steam and Gas show yesterday. The F30 HAN weighed in at 5020 with me on it, so had to pull in the 5500 class (couldn't get the belt pulley off in time). There was a D16, 2 SM's, and a 300 in my class.
Well, I stayed with all of them, like 10 feet +/-. I spun out just as the governor kicked in. While 10' ain't nuthin' to brag about normally, the old girl stayed with the "new" kids. With another 300-400 lbs, who knows, I might have out-pulled them. I am NOT an experienced puller, so tires were fully inflated, drawbar was 6" too low, pulled in 1rst, etc.etc and I still was right there.
Needless to say, big smiles for this pulling rookie ( and will always be a rookie). Gotta love the old iron with the long stroke.
