I was helping out a neighbor by mowing weeds in his pasture with his 444 when it started missing and making loud clank noise that seemed to be coming from air intake. When I pulled the valve cover I found that the intake valve push rod for #2 cylinder was bent, and exhaust rod for same cylinder was broken. I can push down both valves with my hand and the rockers are both well oiled with no signs of having seized. Does anyone have any idea of what would have caused this?
Second problem, the pto sometimes jumps out of gear. any suggestions on this problem? Thanks.
