Tony, You need to concentrate on the large pin that you took the nut off of. Use a punch and whack the bolt out of the housing. It may be stuck pretty good and most likely is worn and has grooves in it from the gear shift lever. It will come out with some perseverance and maybe a couple of fancy words. Just don't miss the punch with the hammer and hit the housing...it is cast and will break. Maybe some penetrating oil on the bolt at both ends would help some. Good Luck..FB
