Either way the LIFTER tick if it is that needs a valve adjustment and you would not hear that DOWN below the valve cover Either engine has a flat tappet cam and they are not Hyd. lifters they are solid lifters . Now setting hear i can not hear YOUR TICK and i would only be guessing . May be nothing to worry about and it could mean something serious . .
