I have a cub with a complete engine rebuild. Ran great until the other day when I hit a bump while mowing. Tractor started missing and popping thru exhaust. Discovered that a carb mounting bolt had stripped and was letting air in. Fixed that with a helicoil and new gasket. Tractor continues to run poorly (won't idle and runs unevenly). Will run even tho idle adjustment screw is all the way in. I reset the carb to gov. rod, but made no difference. One curious observation which COULD be the problem: There is visible movement of gas in the sediment bowl, even a tiny space between gas and top of bowl, which comes and goes. Is that a factor with this problem? Sorry for long post. I can't seem to solve this one. HOpe somebody will/can help. BTW, carb was taken apart and cleaned with carb cleaner and some fine wire, but I did not take the jets out.
