I am having problems with the starter on my 806. I had the starter rebuilt by a reputable shop, but when I try to start the tractor I have to push the starter button several time before the gear on the starter catches the ring gear. I took the starter off and to it back to the shop and watched while they took it apart and tested it. It worked perfectly. I have inspected the ring gear from the little window on the right side of the tractor and all looks ok no flaring of the teeth or excessive wear. I have checked the key and started button and all are ok. So my question is why won't the starter catch on the first try. It's as if it is hitting the ring gear between the teeth and will not engage. I have take the starter off and inspected the gear on the starter and there is no excessive wear visual to the eye. I do not know what to do. Any advise? thanks
