Hello. I am putting a new 17gpm hydraulic pump into a 606 with serial no. 2485 s-y. I do not have a three point hitch on the back or a piggy back pump on my original 12gpm pump that failed and I removed. On the filter side I purchased the Precision Engineering filter extension kit to help with the pump noise and chatter. My question is what else do I need to do to complete the upgrade and also how do I check for backlash between the pump gear and PTO gear so that I can get the correct gasket thickness between the over and tractor body. One more thing, what suction tube do I need to use? The parts diagrams have two to choose from, based on the serial number, and my new one would be suction cross tube 384022r92 but what is the difference between tubes? my old suction tube has the number IH 383254R91 and I cannot find any refence to that number anywhere. Any help and/or pictures are greatly appreciated!!! Thank-you!
