Thanks to everyone for their advice. I decided to go for it and bought the tractor tonight. He is going to deliver it sometime tomorrow. Can't wait!! I took your advice Tractor Vet and went back to test the TA in all gears and it worked great. This guy is the 2nd owner and he did not convert the a/c from R12 but does not know about the 1st owner. How can I tell if it would have been converted (help Lee K). Ron it sounds like you had a bad experience for whatever reason and that is unfortunate. That said I have received excellent advice from these guys in the past and they have been kind enough to share their knowledge and experience with me and the other "experience challenged" among us. Besides Mudcat49 and others helped keep my 706 running for most of last summer instead of gathering dust in the barn. I trust their advice and can't wait for things to dry out so I can take my 1066 for a spin (in the meantime I'll just sit in the barn and drool). Thanks again!!!
