3pt logging winch

Recently purchased a ford 1500 4wd to help maintain our woodlot. I have become convinced that I need a 3pt logging winch and was wondering what other people might think about this. The terrain is quite hilly. It seems just about impossible to find a used 3pt winch and I am considering making one out of a truck pto winch.
I am concerned that this might be dangerous due to the difficulty of disengageing the winch under tension. Thought about driving a truck pto winch with a hydraulic motor. (I can get 8.5 gpm and 1900 lbs pressure from the tractor) Although this would prolly be safer I think it might be too slow. I would appreciate all comments..I would also appreciate a lead on a used 3pt winch :-) Thanks Kim Hartshorn
