Heres one for you. My Oliver Super 55 has two 6 volt batteries. How does that fit into the equation. A couple of other things. I have jumped a 6 volt with a 12 with no harmful effects on ethier. I wouldn't want to hook them up for long, but it still works. The other thing. This is just anecdotal, but I had a 6 volt Willy's that strated great in the coldest weather while a lot of my neighbors with twelves couldn't get 'er goin'. Why?
