Does anyone have a solution for a large hole in the side of a tractor tire. I have a little garden tractor with a 4.5-10 front tire that has a hole big enough it takes four plugs and a lot of slime to keep it going. Every time I get it holding pretty good the plugs blow out and I have to start over. I believe if a tube was put in it, it would blow through the hole. I"ve asked several tire companies to put a hot patch on it and I knew it wasn"t recommended but they wouldn"t do it. One guy even explained to me that they had liability issues with doing that and were afraid if I was going sixty miles an hour down the freeway and the patch failed they could be sued. He actually told me that after seeing the tire. I hate to throw the tire away. It had only been on the tractor two weeks before I got the hole.
