After being with us for 12 years I had to put my old guy to sleep yesterday. He showed up at our house when he was maybe 2-3 yrs old. Has been around for all three of our kids being born and has been perfect with them. He liked about 8 people and the rest he kept away. I couldn"t thank him enough for that. Maybe he kept somebody away from my kids or home that I"ll never know about?? Man it was hard, but he was ready. Couldn"t hear for about a year and his back legs just about stopped working last week. If he sat down, usually he couldn"t get back up. I spent several nights checking on him hourly in the garage. Kids took it pretty good. Me and my "big helper" in the picture did not though. We all had lots of tears that"s for sure. Sure seemed weird this morning going to work and him not being there. Thanks for hearing me ramble.

Today's Featured Article - Earthmaster Project Progress Just a little update on my Earthmaster......it's back from the dead! I pulled the head, and soaked the stuck valves with mystery oil overnight, re-installed the head, and bingo, the compression returned. But alas, my carb foiled me again, it would fire a second then flood out.
