I once had a JD B that we raked hay with. By the end of the day, that sound gets to you, not to mention the hand clutch that is clumsy not smooth to engage. I like IH tractors, but I think that the best sound from a pulling tractor was an Oliver 88 diesel. They really sound smooth.
