I used to subscribe to many periodicals and news letters from nationally known MD's of varying expertise. I got a couple of piles of them now and decided to quit....I knew what to do.
One in particular is a Dr. Smith who said in one of his news letters that the purpose of an egg white was to protect the yoke by causing the invader to die of malnutrition on the way to the yoke. In essence it's useless other than to use as filler (fill up space in your stomach) with zero nutritional value. I eat eggs daily and purchase the very best ones which are good for you as they are chocked full of goodies the body needs. I have no problems with my annual checkups.
Another cardiologist, Dr. Stephen Sinatra, who has a clinic in the NY area somewhere, has a medical information newsletter and teaches the subject to medical professionals, pointed to the fact that cholesterol was not your enemy in heart problems. He said yea verily that it could build to excessive levels and reduce circulation, but the bigger problems come from pieces of it breaking off and clogging the heart due to RIGID VEINS.
One of his main efforts and product information he circulates is the use of Coenzyme CQ 10 to keep pipes flexible and reduce the possibility. The www is full of the subject of Q-10. I take it daily. Most stores stock it in varying types. I like this MD as he is a guy that professes alternative medicine when appropriate and conventional AMA type solutions when they are needed. Seems to be a real level headed guy.
I was looking for my stash of medical letters but I forget where I stashed them temporarily.....I cleaned up around here. I wanted to get the exact articles and quote them title, page, article number and all to ensure that I was "quoting" the authors correctly but I'm confident in the accuracy of my comments.
My personal experience with local cardiologists is negative which is why I went to the alternate medicine news letters for my advice in the first place. Amazing the difference in the threat of the knife and alternatives to it.
I may hunt around for them today and if I find them I'll see if I can find the articles.
