The last couple of days I have had a nasty sore throat and chest congestion. I never had a fever or felt down - odd for a cold that has this much chest goop. I realized that Monday (when we had a snowstorm) I spent the day welding gates in the machine shed. The doors were all closed and it was hazy by the end of the day. Does welding smoke cause cold like symptoms?
I had one more gate to do yesterday. I started with the door closed but had to open it up real soon as it really made my throat hurt more. That was about when I put two and two together. I know galvanized would cause all kinds of mayhem, but this was just old well pipe.
