JD Seller, There is no need for you to mail me filters. I stopped off at the small engine parts place and looked at their stens filters.
The stens 120-634 looks exactly like my kaw filter, it evens has a pressure relief valve.
On the other hand, the stens 120-485 it looks like the exact replacement for the short stubby oem Briggs filter, however there doesn't appear to be a pressure relief valve. I asked the guy behind the sales counter about the valve, his reply was some have it and some don't.
The briggs filter appears not to have one, like the purolator filter doesn't have one, but the technical data says there is one.
SO, CAN YOW ALWAYS TRUST WHAT YOU READ?
It would be nice is someone who actually uses the stens 120-485 or the purolator l4476 would cut a used filter open and post a pic of pressure relief vavle. I would like to see it and where the relief valve is located.
JD seller, do you have the stens # for the briggs filter that is about 3 inches high? Please look inside for the pressure release valve too.
I'm still leaning towards the stens, right pressure release rating and good micron ratings.
I feel very good about using the stens filter over any other after market filter. I don't like the idea of paying 3x more for a kaw filter.
Someone has to make the kaw filter, anyone know who?
