Hey Roger, and anyone else who can help. From an earlier post, my model 75 pan thrower has been getting stuck after throwing a bale and not returning...I greased the valve detent but when tested it is still not returning to position. According to the manual, I included a photo, tried to make it rightside up....apple products throw me for a loop though...
At step 1, where it says ,"grasp the conrol vlve linkage at A and pull rearward until the valve spool is in its detent" Does this mean I should pull it towards the back of the baler...right? What is meant by the spool is in its detent...should the little actuator cylinder, located nearC be exposed or should the cylinder be closed? I am not sure what is meant by detent....
The other suggestions in the manual for the cause of this problem is a "broken spring at the base of the cylinder"....by this do they mean the big cylinder which throws the bale and the spring they are talking about is the one that holds the piece which locks the thrower back in place? I checked that spring...or springs...they didn't appear to be broken, is there a different spring? There was also a small spring inside the the detent cap...that seemed to be intact but did not carry a lot of tension...
Other suggestion is that the relief valve was out of adjustment...could this, in your experience...be the problem?
Here is the picture ooof hte page in the manual i reference.
