Our electricity prices are going up 37% today.
now at 24.2 cents kw/h
That's only TWICE the national average. Not bad.
They had to shut down a coal fired plant because as we all know, coal is evil. It's being converted to use natural gas.
But, now we can't get enough natural gas here to make electricity.
Simple minded people like myself would have waited for some gas pipelines to be built before actually shutting down the coal plant, but I'm crazy like that.
The good news is that more of my tax money will be used to pay the electric bills of the increasing number of people who can't afford them. So at least we don't have to worry about that... I'll just work a little harder.
... yes I'm bitter.
Wondering if any other states are going through this kind of thing.
