When you call Edd in Ky out on facts he presents or reality as he sees it, he doesn't answer. BTDT. Most of those posts have been deleted by the moderators, and I figured this thread would be flushed down the toilet a long time ago. Here's one that survived somehow:
(Some posts don't appear in both classic and modern view. You may have to switch between them.)
In this thread, started by Edd, he describes how 33 people died, and asks/states: "33 Died...still think we don't need an FDA?"
LAA's post: "Ask the 33 what the FDA did for em lately."
DaninKansas's post: "The FDA worked out dandy for those 33 people."
Good question and statement, no real response to either.
Bret4207 makes comments: "Local control is more effective, faster and usually far cheaper than Federal control." and gives a lengthy explanation of why after Edd slaps the face of all of us country bumpkins and insults rural intelligence by stating: "It is a big global world we live in and a simple life on the farm may not be so simple after a trip to the drug store."
I copy and paste the rest of his post and google it. It's from a NY Times article and leads to a couple of more that showed how useless the FDA was in the case in which he mentions in that post.
No response. I guess he felt he made his case.
I'm done responding to Edd threads. Usually they disappear anyway. Rich_WI is posting facts, or at least the facts as the government allows them to be intrepreted. Calling Edd a "liar" is his choice, and I don't agree with that, but I can see why he's reached that point. Rich has called Edd out at least a dozen times on facts as Edd has presented them and never received a response. Edd's "good memory" is either a bit off in this case or is a localized interpretation. I'd ask, but like Rich has found, no answer will be given.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
