Kohler Cyls full of gas?

I have a Cub Cadet with 17 hp Kohler 2 cyl. As I shut it off I noticed it was loading up with fuel pretty bad. About 1/2 hour later when I tried to start it, it wouldn't turn over. Not a mechanical lock, but a hydraulic lock. I pulled the plugs and when I hit the starter to see how it would act, it shot a stream of gas out each cylinder. I assume that the float in the carb is hung up or has a hole in it, and the gas is gravity feeding into the engine. I'm going to look into it tomorrow. Has anyone had a similar experience with the Kohler twin? I would appreciate your suggestions. Thanks, Mark R.
