Can we talk about GMO without getting into a knock down drag out argument about if it is good or bad? Please!!!!
I was watching a program the other day that was talking about countries that do not want; or are thinking about banning the import of GMO products.
This got me to thinking; if this became wide spread in other countries; and knowing we export a lot of grain; how would farmers deal with this. So I have a few questions........ 1) What would it take as a premium over the base price for a farmer to grow a non GMO crop such as corn? 2) If a farmer decided to grow a non GMO crop for export to XX country how would he deal with a neighbor growing a GMO crop across the fence contaminating his crop threw cross pollination? 3) I assume grain elevators would have to revamp to keep XX countries grain in a special bin or is that even possible?
Just kind of curious how farmers; grain elevators; ect would deal with the problems created if large numbers of other countries ban GMO imports.

Amana Colonies served as a respite where we ate a family style lunch that sustained us with more food than could reasonably fit into our ample physiques. The show at Ankeny
