2Cylinders don't function - THE ANSWER - I sure feel stupid!

First, I want to thank everyone who offered suggestions to my problem. I tried them faithfully with no success. Then the manual I had ordered for the TO35 arrived. I read through it - still had no ideas. I decided to start all over and replace parts as I went. I started with the ignition system. When I replaced the rotor (the one on it looked new) I noticed the spark plug wires were not in sequence with what I had just read in the manual. (In my own defense, I have only worked on fords and my son had just purchased and delivered the TO35 to me. I never considered the plug wires were out of sequence.)I installed the wires correctly and off she went, purring like a new one. I still don't understand why the engine did not backfire with two plug wires reversed. I really do feel like an idiot.
