Ok, now that snow season is almost over, I have decided I want to improve my methods a little for next year.
I do 95% of my snow work with an 8' back blade on a MF 165 gasser. I have a big snowblower behind a 100hp cabbed Landini but, for the most part, I like my gasser in the winter.
I think I could save quite a bit of time if I had a front blade to use once I drag my piles to the road. Rather than pulling back into my driveway, turning around and pushing it backward into the ditch, It would be a lot easier to just back up, drop the front blade and push. Well, easiest would be to just have a full-on front blade setup with hydrualic angle and down pressure.
The tractor has the subframe from a loader still attached (holds up a homemade 4 post ROPS). I have a couple of larger, old plow blades sitting in the barn and tons of scrap steel. I also, may, have a front plow frame from a Minnie moe sitting in the weeds, but not sure if it still exists.
The tractor has a single set of remotes. So, easiest setup would be mount the front blade with a single cylinder for up/down and just use that to push accross the road.
Here is my main questions; 1. Can I take my single set of remotes and run them to multiple cylinders - some sort of multi-port valve? 2. Now that snow season is over, could I buy parts off of a pickup truck setup which uses elec over hyd to run a Fischer or Boss pump/cylinders for up/down and angle.
Does anyone have an recommendations for how to proceed/what to look for? Or does anyone have pics of their setup?
I want to be in as cheaply as possible...I don't want to spend much money to fix a system that is not broken.
