I use the 3 pt hitch with a one row cultivator and with a hilling disc...works good with those. Also with a middlebuster but that put a strain on the connecting rod that I can see. Use it with a 4 ft bush hog and that seems to strain it also but not quite as bad.
Maybe it is a 130 that has the stronger rod?
Did you want to use the 3 pt with a drawbar on a trailer with a 1,000lb load? Pete
