First, be shure to keep your blades sharp. Second, scrap and then hose off the underside of your deck. It may take o few times hosing it off but it needs to be clean. Last, you should spray regular engine oil on the deck. Re-apply oil once a month or as needed. This has worked for me. If you wait until the grass is dry (no morning dew or moisture from rain) you may find that it will not clog up at all. Good Luck! Shark
