Yep, that’s me. Ft Smith area about 17 miles South of the Arkansas river. Live in a valley so my temps match Fayetteville more often than Ft Smith. Usually about 4 or five* cooler than our local station unless the air is moving. I had a low of 4. 0 or below is not rare in those cyclical years but it’s been a long time. Frankly, my brain can not comprehend a cow surviving -30 or so. Can’t imagine me surviving and feeding excursion at that temp either. I know that areas are equipped to handle the normal winters but I wouldn’t know how to prep for that. My cows seem to be handling it well today. Thankfully no calves due for a couple of weeks. Andy
