Hello all. I have a Wisconsin VH4D on a Vermeer stump grinder and after 35 yrs the engine has finally died. I am trying to determine which direction to go from here. The decision is between buying a new engine or rebuilding this original engine. I retired last year form being a mechanic for forty years; however, I never did engine work. I did nearly all else but not engine or transmission overhaul. I know I can take it apart and reassemble it but as far as proper ways to rebuild,etc- I don't know these details. I'm asking for input from those that may have some ideas?advice on the subject. Thanks.
