John T, In response to the drawbar question instead of going to the extreme of feet in length let's use inches. Generally drawbar length is 18" from center of axle 20" in height,the height is no doubt to be the most allowed,but if you use 22 to 24" lenghth why wouldn't these gain you an advantage over the extra weight you would hang on the front ? Certainly this could be figured out over a few pulls,but everyone seems to go with short as possible. So in reference to weight behind the rear axle you can't see any reason why belly bars or wheel weights would have any advantage over the behind method?
