Have seen a few busses converted for hauling race cars, round hay bales, and small tractors. You need to be aware that the normal design of floors in school busses is 3/4" plywood! Not terribly strong for the uses you have in mind. Also the body of the bus is a load carrying member, and if you cut it, or part of it off, you'll seriously weaken the whole vehicle. Think this one over very carefully with the thought to retaining some structural integrety. Weight carring ability of a bus frame isn't that great either!
