I'm looking to buy a tractor for use at our home in rural Virginia. We would use the tractor for finish-mowing (approximately 5 acres, some hills) and light farm use: scraping snow/gravel, digging post holes etc. The Ford N & 600 series as well as the MF TO 35 have been recommended. Both a MF TO 35 and Ford 600 are for sale locally; the prices are similar. I have seen the 600 and it needs paint. The owner of the MF states up front that the TO 35 needs paint too. I've also seen photos of a Ford 9N, recently restored and it looks great! Its price is better than both the Ford 600 and the MF TO 35 and I like it but unfortunately it is not local so a quick drive down the road to look it over is not possible. Assuming that 600 and TO 35 are in similar working condition, is one better than the other? A dealer is selling the Ford 600. My experience with tractors is limited. Thank you in advance for taking the time to reply. Respectfully, Jim
